40db.
GOOD was commissioned by MyWord to reinterpret their brand and give them a new name and visual identity. MyWord is a research agency founded in 2012 by Belén Barreiro, President of the Center for Sociological Research (CIS) in Spain. They are a team of sociologists, psychologists, methodologists, statisticians, economists, data scientists and mathematicians dedicated to the scientific analysis of society. They work with advanced analysis techniques to provide solutions for a better society.

The naming
Introducing a research agency fully invested in knowing society. They care about what people have to say and believe that a 360º vision is born from the diversity of their trajectory. They believe in diversity and practice conciliation.
That’s why we called them 40db. Because an opinion is of no use if it has not been heard. And 40 are the estimated decibels of a conversation to be heard. That’s what 40db does, they LISTEN to people and their conversations and transform them into solutions for a better society.
The logo
The creative concept of the brand is in the name itself. This way, the combination of the two numbers and two letters becomes the visual symbol. It is them and their reading that create the visual impact and generate brand memory.
The typographic approach of the logo aims for a simple yet memorable mark, allowing for an immediate read. The sans serif font brings the contemporary and modest approach, while the curvy sentence case characters transmit the warm and empathetic tone of voice, conveying both professionalism and humbleness.
The branding
The grayscale color palette represents neutrality, speaking to 40db’s principle of remaining an unbiased source, demonstrating facts through objective statements based on real data.
The concentric graphic elements are inspired by the shape of sound waves, and their expansion through space affecting their surroundings. This element is used to create dynamism in the compositions, varying its transparency on photographs or solid colors.
