Vergüenza Season 2
After the success of the first season, Vergüenza was the second most watched original production on Movistar+. Jesús (Javier Gutiérrez) and Nuria (Malena Alterio) are back with a second season, in which parenthood becomes the main change in their lives.
Campaign phases
The concept
Even though the two new members of the family would be meant to eclipse anything else that could happen, in their case, a third and apparently innocent element slipped in: the fuet. So there was no choice but to make room for it on the poster, and leave the presence of the children for the claim: encima padres.
Pre Campaign
When reading the critics and reviews about Season 1, there was an overall feeling of “I can’t look at the screen any longer”. A gesture more expected from a horror movie than from a comedy like Vergüenza. So we used this to promote the second season.
We created customized Vergüenza glasses “If you can’t stand watching it, put them on” and arranged for the cast to remember on camera the most embarrassing moments of Season 1 (of course, with the glasses on) and warn of what was to come with Season 2.
Campaign
With this concept in mind, we launched the Season 2 campaign tagline, a much more embarrassing one: la incomodidad (the awkwardness). As a teaser, we created short clips comparing common awkward situations with moments of Season 2. We also covered Madrid and the Movistar+ headquarters with posters about awkward situations.
Premiere
For the highly anticipated premiere, the materials were meticulously designed to capture the essence of the show. The outside of the iconic Movistar building in Gran Via was covered in our striking yellow posters, while the entrance featured an animated digital display on the stairs showcasing the logo. Actors and press were greeted by custom crafted press kits containing the exclusive Vergüenza glasses.
Social media
For this season, we were also in charge of the series social media, managing the Twitter and Instagram profiles, coordinating with the Movistar + network team, and creating custom content.
Holiday Special
This Season included a Christmas Special called “Black Santa”. In order to differentiate it from the S2 campaign, we created a completely new look for the poster. We also released special teasers featuring Nuria and Jesús carefully walking between Christmas decorations as if avoiding awkward situations with family and friends during the holidays.
